Back! Back to the Fu... er Azeroth!

I know Marty! But we've got to go back, back to Azeroth! Great Scott!

So Swear Allegiance has had a rather large hiatus over the holidays, Damarai and I  apologies for that but we are back, back in Azeroth, back to your regularly scheduled eclectic British raving WoW nonsense !
So what's new? Well one of the reasons for the delay in content here is I've been racking my grey matter gearing myself up to host a Podcast, a long running and very damn awesome podcast, conceived by Gazimof and made legendary by the paring of Gaz and Pewter (mental shaman) over the years.

Sadly for IRL reasons these two iconic casters are now taking a step back from the mic for a while and, as I joined the show for its recent series, the torch has fallen to me to pick up and run with... I'm honoured to be asked to keep this great show going and myself and Damarai will be helming the ship for a while under the guise of Obscurecast: Press Start to Continue.

We'll be covering WoW, MMO gaming, and PC gaming in general, as well as our favourite indy developers. But we'll be staying part of the Dawnforge Network, and you don't need to update anything as we'll be coming at you from all the same channels.

So we're back... but what's to do?

Well 4.3 gave a much needed shot in the arm to Cataclysm, the new Dark Moon Fair gives players something fun to do at the start of every month, and oh - my - days how have we done without Raid Finder?! First time in there after having just begun raiding in 10man tier 11 a few patches ago... getting back into it was brilliant, the fights were well tuned, and being part of a big 25 man group was a really great experience, one I, being of the Wrath baby persuasion, have not done - having missed 40 man raiding. Seeing a group of healers hanging behind us, while the DPS surged forward on mass, and then the hunters and mages filling the sky with fire, was pretty special, something 10 man raiding, as great as it was, doesn't have.

So it's safe to say I'm reenergised  for WoW, and with recent Steam sales getting me into the games I missed out on on Xbox, and with indy titles, we're looking forward to the challenge of filling the large boots of The Obscurecast. I hope you'll join us... Gaz and Pewter set a damn high bar and Dam' and I hope we can do them proud.

So tune in SoonTM at www.obscurecast.com , jump into an LFR raid near you (because it's hella' fun!) watch out for mad Carnies... oh, and...

  1. Despite being in complete polar opposition to the premise of this site I think you owe it yourself to roll yourself an actual good guy, ie. a Horde toon.

Now as for The Obscure Cast it's akin to a parent handing their child the keys to their car immediately after obtaining their license. Don't WRECK it! Please! I kid, I kid.

The two of you have a chemistry not unlike what Ril and I share, so needless to say even if The Obscurecast falls of the rails, it will at least be entertaining. We hope.

  2. I've got 3 or four Hordies, but I can't get into them, I'm a Dwarf at heart, short, stocky, and fond of a pint!

Thanks for your support dude, I've taken more than my share of notes from you and Ril' it should be fun!
